Chobits
Probably one of CLAMP's most famous anime and manga series Chobits is at least known by most anime fans even if only through a knowledge of the series' title.
The series is set in an alternate futuristic world which is shared with anoth CLAMP series, Angelic Layer and revoves around a country boy moving to the big city and stumbling upon a robot called Chii.
The series has a very comic yet also much more adult and sexual feel than many of CLAMP's other works with sex or sexual attraction being a major focus (especially in the anime) most of the time. However all the character develop over time in true CLAMP fashion and the series becomes more complex than originally thought.
As mentioned before, Chobits takes place in an alternate world from most of CLAMP's series such as Card Captor Sakura, xxxHolic, etc but this doesn't mean that there are no connections. Several of Chobits' characters have alternate selves in our world that appear in Kobato. and Yuko seems to posses several Chii-like ears that she uses to communicate with Watanuki in xxxHolic Episode 3, Angel that she may have possibly gotten from Chobits' world while travelling.
There is also of course a major connection with Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle with Chii being a major guest star who has a direct connection to Faye.
Currently the entire anime series has been released on DVD as Chobits - The Chobits Collection and the entire manga series from Chobits, Volume 1 to Chobits, Volume 8 has also been released.
