In general news, the first season of xxxHolic is coming to a close. Still no news on a second season so lets hope lots of people buy enough merchandise to warrent them producing another year of bliss. If ever an anime deserved a second season it was this one! Still no news on another movie either for that matter.
Also, I've really started wondering about why there are so few xxxHolic sites online. I'm guessing because only the manga has been translated and the anime is still a while off. I swear people, if there's still like 3 sites a year from now I think I'm going to loose it. ;)

the second xxxHolic DVD up for preorder so we can all get it on the day of release, the 22nd of THIS MONTH!!! I can't wait for mine!
They've also added the preorder option for the
regular edition xxxHolic DVD #3, though I'm passing on that and grabbing the
deluxe version which comes with the xxxHolic anime series soundtrack which won't be sold anywhere else!!!

I touched upon spoilers in my last post so thought I'd just say that Link will only mention story arcs that have been released
OFFICIALLY in English at the time of posting.
I am very anti "scanlations" as they
are illegal and let's not kid ourselves,
most people who read them do not buy the official release. I'm sure some do, but most don't. I'm so sick of people downloading and supporting scanlations because "I can't afford it" or "I can't wait for it to be released in the states/uk/whatever". (You can't wait 3-5 months for a manga?)
Seriously,
the most recent release sold for US$8.43. That's hardly a budget breaker and even if you really can't afford it, that doesn't give you the right to download pirated versions off the internet. Should I steal a digital tv because I can't afford one? Hell no.
If morality doesn't work for you, how about safety? Publishing companies are really cracking down now on copyright violations. Do you really want to risk it? Especially since this series is lisceneced for an English release?
*cough cough* Where was I? Haha... right, spoilers. So I won't mention anything that hasn't happened in an officially released manga yet. As for the anime, well I live in Japan and am watching it in Japan and I'm buying the DVDs so I will be posting about the anime episodes, but I won't post spoilers in my "Impressions", however if you want plot details, my "Anime Episode Guide" on the right side menu should have everything you're after including screencaps and crossover info.

Oh my god. This has got to be one of the funniest episodes of anime I've ever seen! I laughed out loud throughout this episode. It was just fun, pure and simple.
The story, an anime original, basically revolved around Yuko holding a snow sculpture competition with the winner getting the contents of a box Watanuki found. Of course there's a supernatural twist: the snow sculptures come to life and battle each other!!!
I won't ruin it for anyone as half the fun of the episode is seeing what each character builds. I will say though that those people (not me) that find Domeki to be too stiff will get a real kick out of what he builds.
5 stars again for this episode!
Next week we get one of the more recent manga stories, the one of the woman in the photograph. I wonder if they'll keep in the eye action (that's all I'll say without spoiling it for you).

Wow! Talk about a great xxxHolic episode! Not only does Prod I.G. include EVERYTHING from the manga arc, they also expand it, include more characters that actually adds to the story and include lots of crossover items within the first few
seconds of the show!
Loved the Magic Knights Rayearth reference. I think that's exclusive to the anime but I'm just going from memory.
This episode definitly lived up to expectations. 5 stars!
